Terms of Service

These terms explain the proposed rules for using WritingSignal, its AI Detector, AI Humanizer, account features, and prepaid plans.

Professional Review Required
This is a substantive pre-launch draft based on WritingSignal's implemented architecture. It is not yet legally effective and does not invent an operating entity, jurisdiction, certification, or compliance guarantee.

1. Agreement and Current Status

These Terms of Service are a substantive pre-launch draft. They are intended to govern use of WritingSignal once an effective date and operating legal entity are approved and displayed. Until then, they describe the product rules being prepared for launch and do not replace terms shown during a controlled test or checkout.

By using WritingSignal after these terms become effective, a user will agree to these terms and the linked Privacy Policy, Cookie Policy, Acceptable Use Policy, and any offer-specific checkout terms.

Review Item: Business and legal review must approve the governing entity, jurisdiction, age threshold, and regional requirements before this document becomes effective.

2. Accounts and Eligibility

Users must provide accurate account information, protect their sign-in method, and promptly report suspected unauthorized access. WritingSignal uses Clerk for identity and session management but applies its own server-side ownership and authorization checks.

An account may be used only by its authorized holder unless WritingSignal later introduces an approved team-workspace feature. Current plans do not include team seats, delegated administration, or account sharing.

Review Item: The minimum user age and any parental, school, or institutional consent rules require legal review before launch.

3. Submitted Writing and User Rights

Users retain their rights in submitted writing. A user must own the writing or have permission to submit it. Submission gives WritingSignal a limited permission to process, store, analyze, revise, display, and delete the content only as needed to provide the requested service, secure the service, and honor account instructions.

Users should remove sensitive information that is not needed for the requested analysis or revision. WritingSignal does not use submitted writing for model training by default.

4. AI Detector Results

AI Detector results are probabilistic assessments of writing patterns. They may include an AI Likelihood Score, Confidence Score, Human Editing Likelihood, findings, explanations, strengths, limitations, and a responsible-use warning.

A result does not prove authorship, cheating, fraud, intent, or misconduct. False positives and false negatives are possible. Users must consider context, allow meaningful review, and avoid using a result as the sole basis for education, employment, publishing, legal, financial, or reputational decisions.

5. AI Humanizer Results

The AI Humanizer uses an external AI processing service to revise writing for naturalness, readability, flow, tone, and voice. Users should review every result for accuracy, facts, names, dates, numbers, quotations, citations, terminology, headings, and formatting before use.

WritingSignal does not promise that a Humanizer result will be error-free, preserve every nuance, or receive any particular score or classification from another product. Humanization instructions are optional and remain subject to input and safety limits.

6. Plans, Word Allowances, and Payments

WritingSignal currently sells monthly and annual prepaid access through NOWPayments cryptocurrency invoices. Card checkout may be offered later under the terms displayed at checkout. Plans do not renew automatically. Access changes only after WritingSignal verifies the provider's signed completed-payment notification; a browser redirect does not confirm payment.

Detector and Humanizer words are tracked separately. Valid work may temporarily reserve words. Completed work consumes the corresponding allowance, while failed or rejected work releases its reservation. Word allowances reset according to the purchased plan period and do not roll over unless an offer expressly says otherwise.

Starter includes detector words and may purchase the separately listed Humanizer add-on. Pro and Business include both word types. Additional detector-word packs are not currently sold.

7. Service Availability and Changes

WritingSignal may update the product, limits, supported file types, providers, and security controls. Material changes to prices or plan allowances apply prospectively and will be shown before a new purchase.

The service may be paused for maintenance, security, provider outages, or incident response. WritingSignal will not fabricate a result when a required system is unavailable.

8. Suspension and Termination

WritingSignal may restrict or suspend access to protect users, investigate suspected abuse, comply with law, respond to payment problems, or enforce these terms. High-impact staff actions are role-restricted and audited without storing submitted writing in audit logs.

Users may request account deletion after recent identity reverification. Access is blocked immediately after confirmation, and private-data purge work proceeds through the documented background process. Limited billing, security, and deletion records may remain where operationally or legally required.

9. Intellectual Property

WritingSignal and its original software, interface, branding, documentation, and service design are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. These terms do not transfer ownership of WritingSignal technology to users.

Feedback may be used to improve WritingSignal if it does not contain submitted writing or confidential material. Separate permission is required before user content may be used for model improvement or research beyond providing the service.

10. Disclaimers, Liability, and Disputes

AI analysis and language generation are imperfect. Users remain responsible for reviewing outputs and for decisions made using them. WritingSignal does not make a warranty that a result is accurate, complete, or suitable for a high-stakes decision.

Any final warranty exclusions, limitation of liability, indemnity, governing law, dispute process, and venue must be reviewed for the operating entity and the regions in which WritingSignal is offered.

Review Item: This section is intentionally conservative and incomplete until qualified counsel approves enforceable language for the operating entity and launch markets.

11. Contact

Questions about these terms may be sent to support@writingsignal.com. Legal notices will require an approved legal name and service address before public launch.
